    moving
In June I am moving, from warm state to warm state, but a 24 hour road trip I will probably take a nap, making it 30+ hours in a car. I thought to remoce all but the hide from the tank, strap the tank to the back seat and go. Good? or Bad. I will also have a dog in a dog crate and a cat in hers. No choice there.

Off the snake talk...can a thread be removed, I have several posted and gotten good info and response, don't want to be just taking space or leaving same-ole thread for others to sift through.

I would put the snake into a pillow case and put the pillow case into a styrafoam cooler for the trip.

i'm going to be in the similar situation here pretty soon

wondering why you would recommend this over just putting her whole cage in the back seat
    warmth?

when i drove home for christmas i just put the heat on and had my thermostat there next to me making sure the temps stayed up

I can see using a pillow case, I use a small one I made for her when I go to a friends, or take her to the pet store ect. But a styrafoam coller..? wouldn't that restrict air? I saw a bunch of platis cases/lids and the writers were preparing for something. I thought maybe they were going to a show or sale, again what about air. But holes could be punched too. So I suppose self answered that question...daaa on my part. I would never trust any mail or shipping service with my baby! Ever get a present or mail order and it looks like it was shook, rattled and then rolled over with a truck. But thanks for the suggestions. I will concider the pillow case idea.

Ive always used a pillow case and styrafoam cooler whenever I need to take my snakes anywhere, pillowcases are very dark and keep the stress levels down as opposed to a tank (assuming you use a tank) where everything is pretty much open.

I would recommend the cooler/case idea also. There are too many variables in the backseat of a car; breezes, humidity/temperature fluctuations; a nice small styro cooler would help insulate against that stuff. Do you plan on using air conditioning in the car; if so, you might even need a few heat packs.. but then again you don't want to cook the snake. I would do a dry run; start up the car, put on the AC, get the cooler all setup and put in some heatpacks and measure the temp they get into with the cooler sealed up.. if it goes over 90, remove a pack, etc.
