    reflectix
I was wondering about reflectix. How do you use it ? I might pick some up for my rack. Do you just put it on each level so the heat rises into the tub or what?

Think of it like a mirror for heat. So it reflects the heat back to where it came from. Typically it is used on the bottom of flexwatt so it reflects the heat back up to the tub.

    In this order:
    Tub
    Flexwatt
    Reflextix

I am sure there is a much more technical explanation but I hope this simple one helps.:D

Interesting...the HD in Indiana doesn't carry it(they carry some sort of foam backed aluminum sticky stuff) but Lowes does.

Did you look by the insulation? It is thrown in the middle of my insulation aisle here.

Nope...aluminum tape is just that tape. This is 2 pieces of aluminum with bubble insulation in the middle. The manufacture says it reflects 97% of the heat back to the source.

Yea this is where I found the aluminum foam insulation...I asked and got a bunch of strange looks and no one knew what it was...seems some things at HD are bought regionally I guess this might be one of them...or they were just out and playing dumb.:)
