    Herp Show Question
Hey everyone, I was wondering how much i would expect to pay for a pastel male baby ball python at a reptile show? There is a show out here in september and i was really hoping to get a new BP.

    Thanks

i'll see if i can go to that show myself since im only like 2-3 hours from it.as for the price, i guess it depends on the breeder but expect like maybe $500 or so?

Really depends on the show and what the vendors are bringing I would think. If you have a link for the show, check out who is listed online as vending there and then perhaps check into their reputations and what their general pricing is from their websites.

Personally (and yes this may get me smacked by some folks) but as much as you need to be careful of your budget, I think in the end price is not the major driving force when Mike and I look at a snake. In other words a good deal isn't alway a good deal and dollar signs aren't the determining factor. Buy the pastel that you can afford that simply speaks to you, that makes you feel "I must have this particular snake", buy a healthy snake from a good, reputable breeder, buy what is right for you. I think in the end that will make you happy with whatever price you paid.

If you can't afford a certain one, save up, be patient. There's a very smart guy on this forum who always says something about cleaning up snake poop for a lot of years so you may as well be very happy with the snake you got. :)

Isn't there a quality issue, too? Like you'll pay higher dollar amounts for really good examples of a Pastel, and less dollar amounts for lesser examples of a Pastel.

Well of course. If its a high quality snake/breeder of course ill be willing to pay more.
