Im still looking...god this sounds a personals ad. lol
Im still looking for a ball python. maybe a boa. I don't know anymore. pythons seem really cool though. I have the room for it. even if I do live in NYC ( I know they are illeagal.) I think if you have the room for it, it shouldnt have to be a problem. and by the time it get big enough hopefully I'll be out of here. but any ways getting off subject....

I was thinking about adopting... cause it might be a little easier on my wallet. heh. but I dont know anyplaces here. so if anyone does reply! thanks!

Most folks here want condone someone getting and keeping a snake if its illegal in your state. My suggestion is to wait till you move or find a herp that you can keep till then there are loads of other reptiles that are legal in NYC I'm sure.

Welcome to the sight and best of luck

Only burms, retics and rock pythons (annies also) are illegal in NY...Ball Pythons are legal.

Natasha,i really suggest that you do not get any snake that you know infact that it is Illegal in your state. If someone turns you in the snake will more then likely be put to sleep and you will end up with some hefty fines. So no need to have you or a snake suffer.Second if you are worrying about the costs of buying a snake then you might rethink getting something right now.Any reptile you might get do have alot of needs to keep them healthy (food, vet if needed, enclosure and etc.) and the money spent will add up.Do not listen to someone that says reptiles are low maintenance,as they are not.Maybe you might wait until you move and save up so it will not be a heavy burden on your wallet when you do get a snake.
