    Not Eating
MY B.P hasn't ate in about 1.5 months (i'm feeding live), i put him in his feeding enclosure and he looks as if hes going to strike the rat , tongue flicking falling back into a striking position, he even goes and invade the rats space , which sometimes leads into a bit of a bluf from the rat and a retreat, this goes on and on. Finally I got tired and just took him out, with a live rat (what do with the rat :) ) , anyone know how I can get him to feed, hes done it 2 times for me before......

    Can you tell us

    what your temps are?
    what your humidity is?
what type of thermometer/hydrometer you are using?
    how big is your BP?
how big his is the enclosure?
    about his hides?
    how often you feed him?
    how big the prey is?

On the cool side 75 , warm side 92 . I use a needle thermonitor and I don't have a humidity checker. My BP is about 2.8 feet (2 years old) . Hes in a 20G enclosure his hides are two black boles that he fits perfectly . I feed him every week , but I haven't been able to do that since he stoped eating. The pret is about 1.5 inches wide and hes a medium size rat ( the same size as the snakes width) .

    I see couple of things

Going off feed can be husbandry related and there are some issues there and can also be due to your BP fasting to catch up which is related to the size of the prey.

Dial thermometers are not acurate and I would recommend you to buy a Acu-Rite thermometer/hydrometer to get an accurate reading it look like this http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...hermometer.jpgand can be found at Walmart for 12$/13$

Then you need to make sure that your temps are 90-94 on the warm side and 80-84 on the cool side

    Humidity should be 50%-60%

Then I would also recommend to feed a smaller prey, which will allow you to have a BP feeding with consistency

Feed a prey slightly smaller then the girth size and for an adult BP nothing bigger then a small rat (4 weeks old)

Make the adjusment wait another 7 to 10 days and try feeding a smaller prey
