Man, having trouble keeping up with the forums again, sorry guys! Seems like everytime I look up there's like 5 pages of posts to catch up on! I'm still alive though, honest. Just lots of work to do.

Here's a peek at one of the projects I'm working on. And by working on her I mean mostly staring at and trying to decide if I want to put a background in.

Unut is a little known Egyptian goddess, "The Swift One" who was originally a snake goddess and for some reason was eventually transformed into a hare-headed goddess. She was worshipped alongside Thoth (represented here by the Sacred Baboon) in province 15 of Upper Egypt, and she's represented in the cult of Horus and Re but otherwise she's hardly mentioned. What her place was in the Egyptian pantheon is more or less unknown, although it's theorized she was an underworld goddess of some sort. The only Pharoah to ever take her name was Unas the last king of dynasty five who is equally mysterious. I used the Black Mamba as the snake because it's argueably the fastest snake in Africa.

This is also the goddess we named my little monster bunny Unut after before we knew he was a boy. :P Still suits him so we left it.

Thank you! Still not sure if she'll have a background or not, I may do one version without then just see if inspiration strikes. I should have her done without the background well before Ostara/Easter for folks who celebrate. :)

The Egyptian croc god Sobek is in Karen's ink pile, I'll post him too when she gets to him. :)
