ive had clarence for about 3 months hes 6 months old and doing great anyway:
ive read that its stressful to have a bright light on them i have a 50 watt "white" light on him and the temps great abt 89 hot and 79 cool in a 30t tank
should i try and use a blue/red buld to b less stressful???

If those are the temps with the light on, what are your temps at night when you turn the light off? The red lights are great because they emit a light that is not visible to the snakes so their daytime/night-time periods are not affected.

Yes that is too low, but 85-89 is too hot for the cool side as well.

Unless you are breeding, day and night temps should remain constant. 80-83 cool side, 90-93 warm side.
