    Puppy Dog Tales
Just a quick update and a few pics from today of the pups. Gunnar continues to love having a buddy around the house though the personalities are coming out. Even though Gunnar is smaller than Tank she's definitely the boss female and he's going to be a big gentle male with her. When they wrestle he'll toss himself down just so she can "win". He play bites but she tends to really put the teeth to him and boss him around so we're stopping that (bossy female she is LOL). Tank's working on his leash and housebreaking. He's super protective of me when we are out on walks. Last night he apparently didn't like the look of a guy across the street so after giving the stranger some really loud barks he dragged me home LOL. Wouldn't stop hauling at me and whining (as he kept turning to bark) so I took his doggie advice and took us both back inside. My dad always said trust a dog's instincts about folks.

Tank's finally realizing he doesn't have to guzzle every drop of water and gulp every piece of food in the house and seems to be gaining weight and relaxing more. He's very affectionate with his human family and a super pack mate for Gunnar.

Oh look! Momma came home for the pet store with chewies for us!

    Yep and aren't they yummy!

No, chew nicely like this! (boy dogs are soooo dumb!)

    mmmdpfffpfftt (can't talk...mouth fulla chewy!!!!)

As you can see Tank's cleaned up beautifully and now shows a lot of subtle yellow markings in his snow white coat. It's hard to show in a photo but he's got yellowish freckles on his face and a yellow patch right between his ears as well as a yellowish saddle on his back. Should be interesting to see what his mature coat will be.

Since no one ever showed up or phoned claiming him, we consider him officially OURS! :carrot:

Hmm I did forget to mention though that the two furry hellions went on a "get Momma's evil slipper" raid last night when I fell asleep watching tv. Oh yes they are a pair of sweet angels when I'm awake and they are both cuddling nearby but let me doze off......their horns came out - the pair of puppy brats! LOL

I have this habit of shaking my slipper at them if they act up and we jokingly refer to it as "my evil slipper". Well Mike came home from work to find one extremely ripped up slipper and two puppies racing around proudly bearing parts of the "kill".

Silly puppies....I still have another pink slipper! bwwwhahahahahahahahaha

Hahahaha! I can picture them running around so proudly displaying their prowess against the Evil Slipper!

I hadn't had a chance to say so sooner...but Jo...congrats on finding Tank!! And cograts to Tank for finding you!! It definitely seems like something that was meant to be! He's a gorgeous dog and looks like a perfect match for Gunnar!

Well seems like he is doing and looking good :) .

Rescue dogs are very protective and very loyal to the one that rescue them, and they also know when they find a good home.

Oh apparently they were all prancy and proud when "Daddy" walked in the door LOL. Well until he apparently said "hey NO, bad puppies!!!". I'm sure they were quite confused that "Daddy" didn't think it was a good thing that they killed the evil slipper (and also stole a couple of toys of Mikey's and a few other purloined things which got chewed up). Lesson to me though to not fall asleep and leave the Devilish Duo loose in the house.

Thanks Deb! We are just thrilled to have Tank and very pleased to see him fitting in so well in our home. :)

My cat had one of those "look what I did" moments. he is obsessed with Q-tips and one night we came home to find he had broken the nice glass jar we had them in and was laying in the mess! He was so proud, until he was punished! :P

Yeah but at least a dog will have the decency to look slightly ashamed of itself...a cat will just give you that look...you know the one that says "I have a good lawyer buddy boy, go try to prove I did this....now excuse me...I have to lick myself!" :D
