The SPCA Sent Me on Another Call
So this afternoon the SPCA called me and asked if I would go on a snake call for them. I sure wasn't gonna say no. The only info they gave me was a large snake up in a tree. I got there and about 40 feet up in the tree was this guy. Luckily the branch that it was on was hanging over the roof of the apartments where it was found. The maintenance people lent me there ladder and I snatched him right up. He/She didn't even fight and was very calm. So I get her home and I already had mice thawed out for my other snakes so he/she decided to grab one while I was trying to check him/her out. The snake will stay with me until the SPCA figures out what to do with it. I wish I could keep it, but I'm out of room as of now. Here's some pics enjoy and tell me what you think. oh she/he is about 5 ft long.

No I don't think so. The people from the apartment complex said that the owners moved and let the snake go. :mad:

It was just word of mouth that I owned snakes. I have become really good friends with animal control and they are always stopping by just to see all my critters. They even borrow my snakes and tortoises for there educational programs at least 2-3 times a month. Its good to have friends like them.

Are these the same guys that do the Animal Planet show? That's pretty neat. Maybe you can be on an episode sometime? :P
Seriously, though...that's pretty awesome that you get to help out that way. I'd love to be involved in something like that someday. And that boa looks great...seems like it shouldn't be too hard to find it a permanent home with a responsible keeper!
