    Does this mean anything?
So the two red tail boa's I purchased, we were looking at them today and noticed their bellies are very differnt. I know with ball python there are yellow bellies and differnt things in their belly can mean differnt things so It got me thinking, does it mean anything with red tail boas? Here's the pics of the two bellies!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...o/100_0059.jpg this is the male's belly

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...o/100_0057.jpg that's the females belly.

It could mean nothing, but just seeing how differnt their bellies are I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Also I was a bit worried it might mean something bad! The female and male both took their first mouse a couple days after we got them, we found out a few days after they fed that they both had mites. I've treated them for mites but the female still soaks (going to treat her cage again soon) Not only that, she "star-gazes" which I'm worried about. I'm going to try and get her to a vet soon but I as also a bit worried that could mean something as well!

    Thanks for any help!

My RTBs' bellies always get really pink before shedding, (that's not just a BP trait) but if she's been soaking a lot for the mites, she may be starting belly rot, from where her scales are too wet for too long. Sort of hard to tell from just a pic. Getting her to a vet would be a good idea.

    Good luck!

wasn't the pink part, I was talking more about the yellow ish, and yes I have a vet visit for both schedualed. I dont think it's bellie rot, the yellow-ness I was talking about was there from the day we got her. I was thinking the yellow/orange-ness of her belly could be some type of trait like yellow bellies in bps and such.

I've been watching her for bellie rot and have been taking her water bowl out for a litlte bit if I notice her sitting in it too long so I dont think thats it.
