Keep lil Daisy in your thoughts tonight.
Our lil Daisy the box turtle we rescued was starting to thrive, then two days ago took a nasty backslide. Her ear and mouth are badly abcessed. :( It looked like she had 2 heads she swelled so bad. She is going in for turtle surgery tomorrow. They guess it will run between 120 & 150 but expect a full recovery. She should be able to come home Wensday.
Kelly is so worried about her. Can't stand seeing her cry or Daisy in pain.

Thanks everyone. She's such a little turtle. I worry when any animal has to be put under especially when they are that small. This lil rescue is pushing 300 dollars, I've spent that much and more on numerous canine rescues, but never a turtle. Most turtles we have come across have improved with just better husbandry practices and supplaments.I guess that means she is a permanent family member. :D
