    just wanted to know...
how long I would be able to keep a BP in a 25 gal tank? I used to have fish but they died long ago and the tank is just kinda sitting in my basement at the moment with no use, but since i was hoping to get my first BP at the ontario reptile expo next sunday i was hoping i could use the tank i have. I was just wondering how long it would be before i had to buy a new tank.

    thanks in advance :)

lol true. I've never been there myself but after hearing the horror stories some people have posted I don't think I want to!

I've heard that an adult (5') ball would need no bigger than a 33g long full grown. The "footprint" or the bottom surface area is important part, since balls are not arboreal. If your 25 gallon is 36" inches long, and your snake stays small-ish (3-4'), it could work indefinitely but you'd have to be prepared to move bigger if necessary. Some 25g tanks are only 24" long which would be less adequate and you'll have to move up in 2-3 years. That's my guesstimate anyways...
