almost done building my rack need info on helix
Iam going off the matrix units design and going with the 3" flexwatt heat tape. Insted of going 6 high iam going 9 high. I was wondering what helix do most people go with. :D

Get the DBS-1000 grounded unit. Worth the couple of extra bucks to get the grounded version so that you can use grounded surge supressors if you choose to expand in the future.

    Just my opinion of course.

Good luck and congrats on the new rack.

In addition to what Adam said, you should also try to get the 6 watt 3" Flex, rather than the 10 watt 3". You will be able to run quite a bit more Flexwatt on each Helix unit this way, and IMO the 6 watt is safer than the 10 watt.

    Good luck and congrats :)

Her collection is still quite small and unless she has big plans, the difference in 6 watt or 10 watt is nothing

My main point was that the 6 watt is safer IMO :) It will also make for a cheaper hydro bill ;)

There is someone on kingsnake selling one about a year old for $110 shipped if you don't have the $140 to spare right now.

LLL carries them. I ordered one a couple months ago and received it in a decent amount of time.
