Looking for Leucistic Texas Rat NJ
Hey everyone. New to the forum! I am currently looking to adopt a female Leucistic Texas Rat Snake. I am located in North/Central New Jersey. Willing to answer any/all questions. Would appreciate any Helpful sources to find one in my area. I am still trying to get familiar with this site so forgive me if there is a breeder page I am not seeing.
If you have any info or have one/many for adoption please let me know!
    Thanks

Are you ONLY looking for adoption? Cuz I hope you don't have your hopes up cuz there arn't people just waiting desperately for someone to take their Leucy Rat. And if you're looking for a quality animal, be ready to pay cuz you dont want to get stuch with something thats gonna cost more in vet bills than jsut buying a healthy one. I have a local pet store i visit regularly (including tomarrow if the weather isnt bad) that is selling 2 at $79.99. I'm not sure what a decent price is on these but maybe aiming for that might help. Good luck on your hunt!

WOW. Well please don't get me wrong. I didn't state I was looking for a free snake did I? Especially if I was looking for a breeder..... I use the word adoption because I don't like saying I bought an animal like they are just an object I will be throwing on a shelf. I consider myself adopting them even though I pay a fee/price what have you. Lets not throw words into my fingers here mmmk? I know about vets being I am an X assistant, and money wasn't an object here so I don't know why it was brought up. Maybe I should have stated I was willing to pay? but I thought that was a given.
I am not familiar with how to work the site so I am not sure how I look up a person or email them by their user ID. Someone also mentioned a pet store, Could you please tell me where or what store in what state you are speaking of? I am not big on pet stores because of health issues but I wouldn't mind rescuing one either.
    Thanks
    Skyn
And thanks for the welcome :taz:

Skyn, dont be offended here as you did say "adopt" and inturn members here think you want a "free" or low "fee" snake. If you want to PM(personal message) a member here click on the user name and a screen will drop down and you click on send private message(AKA PM).You will have no problems if you "adopt" (buy) a LTR from Crystal as she is a trusting member here.I hope this helps you

Ok... but isn't that usually what you do? Adopt an animal from breeders? When the young are ready they are up for adoption..? At least thats what I have done in the past. Most of the breeders I know care for their animals and don't just "sell" them to anyone. I guess I just don't like the purchase word. I suppose next time I should state this differently? I mean I did after all mention breeders, I would have to be pretty clueless to think a breeder would just give me one. :) I didn't feel thats how I came off but to each their own. No offense taken ( hope I didn't offend either) I just wish people didn't assume so quickly. Perhaps next time a simple " are you willing to pay a fee/price, or how much are you willing to spend" might be better off is all... agreed? Have a good night and thanks again for the help. :D

Skyn, most,if not all breeders consider adopt and buy two completely different things. But, ok. It's all good. in the spring, when eggs are laid, upon your request, I can put you on my waiting list and contact you...it worked quite well, as the babies went super fast! just PM me and I'll get your info.
