my bp billy hasnt eatin in three weeks he doesnt appear to be losing any weight. is this normal as long as he maintains his weight?

Yeh it sure is normal. It's the cold season where a lot of bp's tend to go off feed, that or it's a husbandry issue. Can you tell us about your set up? Temps? Humidity? what type of enclosure?

same as my ball python,she is 10 mths old dont stress over it because the snake will sense it,how old is he?most ball pythons when they get too a year old start switching from a high to a lower metabolism teenage angst according to adam,they usually eat like horses for their first year then stop to catch up ,i would offer mouse/rat every ten days,it is the hallmark of owning a ball python,keep me posted

They can go off feed however there is often a reason to it.
How big is your enclosure and how big is your BP?
What do you use to measure your temps (type of thermometer/hydrometer)?
How often and what kind of prey do you usually offer?
What you need to do is
Make sure you temps are right 80-84 on the cool side and 90-94 on the warm side.
Make sure your humidity is between 50%-60%
Make sure your hides are tight enough

all the questions have been asked. dont leave a mouse in there unsupervised unless its prekilled of course lol. if your feeding prekilled try a live. i read a while back in a ball book that a teaspoon of chicken broth poured onto the mouse can help. never tried it though...how long have you had him?

well i have had for a year on the 19th he turned a year old in november and is about 2 ft or so. i have him in a 55 gallon cage and one side is usually at 90-95 and the other at 80-85 and the humidity is usaully bout 50% he has 2 hides. He eats 1 live mouse every week. Also i heard while they are fasting you should not handle them as much is that true?
