help my temps gone nuts!!!!!
i have a wooden enclosure hot end is 92 ,i use heatmat with johnson stat, cold end wont go above 77,when i put basking bulb in it sends temps over 100
Re: help my temps gone nuts!!!!!
Have you considered using another UTH on another thermostat for the cool end? I imagine that if you are using a basking light that heats the enclosure that high, that you are also having some humidity challenges?
Re: help my temps gone nuts!!!!!
it only heats that high on warm end, with just thermostat on humidity is 50 per cent, like you said it drops quite a bit with bulb on

Your ambient temps in the room are too low; raise that or add another t-stat and UTH
Re: help my temps gone nuts!!!!!
How much air flow do you have in your cage? If you cover some of the ventilation it may help you get the temp up a few degrees.

Try raising the room temperature. :snake:

I had a similar problem on the cool end of my tubs, I had to supplement the cool side with a strip of 3" flexwatt controled by a dimmer. Solved my problems.
