    help my temps gone nuts!!!!!
    i have a wooden enclosure hot end is 92 ,i use heatmat with johnson stat,cold end wont go above 77,when i put basking bulb in it sends temps over 100

    Have you considered using another UTH on another thermostat for the cool end? I imagine that if you are using a basking light that heats the enclosure that high, that you are also having some humidity challenges?

    it only heats that high on warm end,with just thermostat on humidity is 50 per cent,like you said it drops quite a bit with bulb on

    Your ambient temps in the room are too low; raise that or add another t-stat and UTH

    How much air flow do you have in your cage? If you cover some of the ventilation it may help you get the temp up a few degrees.

    I had a similar problem on the cool end of my tubs, I had to supplement the cool side with a strip of 3" flexwatt controled by a dimmer. Solved my problems.
