    New taiwan beauty snake!
I convinced the bf to allow yet another snake into the home, and finally got a taiwan beauty snake! I haven't named it yet (the bf doesn't think Elvis is a good name).
I'd read that they were fast, and y'all aren't kidding!
He's (I've got a hunch that it's male;)) just a juvy right now, I understand he's gonna grow quite a bit, so what size enclosure am I looking at for an adult?

Beauties like as much room as you can give em! ;) As an adult, I'd say the very smallest you'd want to go with is similar to a 55L tank, but bigger would definitely be more ideal, especially for a Taiwan male. They're pretty active, and will take advantage of all the room you give em, just make sure he has nice secure hides to retreat to. Congrats! Beauties are awesome snakes, not that I'm biased or anything. :P

    Hi,
I have a taiwan beauty and they are awesome pets. Mine is 2 years old, and about 7feet long now. She's shedding more often, and growing faster than my yearling BP! Yours will be pretty big before you know it too, they grow FAST! I keep her in a 48" x 20" x 19" plastic vivarium, with a sturdy branch to climb on. They are brilliant eaters also, mine never refuses a meal and will eat anything! mice, chicks, rats etc etc! Heres a video of her eating a live rat a few weeks ago, you can see shes a large snake, but not of unmanageable girth.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks for all the input!

MedusasOwl: You have some awesome looking vbbs!

Shotty: Gorgeous snake, I can't wait til mine gets that big!
I got to hold a full grown and super wriggly male at the shop I got my juvey at, so I have some idea what I'm in store for.

In terms of old world rats, I already have a juvey trinket rat snake that I'm pretty sure would eat an elephant if I tried to feed it to him. The kid eats like a champ, so the bar is set pretty high for the beauty snake, hopefully he can keep up:)

Thank you! I hope to have oodles more of them in the future, as well as a pair of trinkets! Get a few of your trinket while you're working on the pic-o-mania, I wanna see! I love those guys too. :D
