    So how fast are ball pythons? I know they can strick very quickly, but when moving and covering ground? I have seen pictures that people have taken of their snakes in the grass or something and I would think I would be scared they would get away... :bolt:

    Faster than you would think..........my girl is pretty shy, so if she's laying flat and i touch her, she takes off........but if it was life or death i would like to think i'm faster than her............but in a place like outside, or in a place like my living room (she tries to get under the couch) i don't take my eyes off of her!

    They don't usually move at full speed unless they feel threatened. I let mine slither around on my bed and they can move at a pretty good speed for an animal that has no legs.

    Haha ok...so it isn't a too terribly bad idea to take them outside once in a while if the weather is right? And slightly unrelated....when people are talking about the animals they own, what is the 2.1, 0.1 etc.? (like in snakedude's signiture)

    1.0 = 1 male

    0.1 = 1 female

    0.0.1 = 1 unknown
