    Tank Tops
I've got a 30 gal breeder tank with one of those annoying slide out screen lids.
Has anyone managed to convert one to have a hinged back? Or maybe built a different top all together?
Something like this would be handy
    http://www.amazon.com/Tough-Top-Scre...&s=home-garden

although I think 1/2 if not the whole thing being a different material to keep in the humidity would be ideal

    any suggestions??

YOu have one of those critter cages, I've got a few just like them but in 20long
size. Honestly what I did with them is took some ceram wrap and aluminum foil, put it over half of the screen... and bAM! more heat and humidity! ;) :)

Critter cages are not fun...I hate those sliding tops too.

The regular screen lids made by ESU for your 30 breeder will work even if you have a Critter Cage 30 breeder. Just get one of those an some clips and you're good to go.

Transluscent "ConTac Paper" worked great for us when we were using screen lids - drop tops or sliding critter cage types - easy to apply and remove without munginess (of course all those tanks are now full of rats hehe)

Not only for the humidity, because I can work with that
I think I'm tired of annoying the crap out of my snake every time I go to slide it out and bang it against the table to set it somewhere or what not.

So, is there anything available online or in store that has a hinge instead?
