What other strange thing could happen next?

Rough 2 weeks.
I checked on this little guy tonight and found a MUSHROOM growing. I took a pic before I changed out the substrate.
I guess heat, humidity (and the fact that this guy is always in and out of the water bowl) and darkness allows mushrooms to spontaneously pop up out of cypress mulch.

What next!

That's not a BP and I don't think it's healthy for mushrooms to be sprouting in your snake's enclosure... I think I read something about this concerning the husbandry of the Blood python species.

I am changing out the substrate to coconut bark. Evidently that does not hold the moisture as much as the fine cypress does.
Since these things need really high humidity, I need to find something that will work well to hold it and not cause problems.

Wow a mushroom.. that's something I haven't seen in a cage before. lol

With the exception of the head it could pass for an eastern watersnake :)

I once had a guniea pig and was less then prompt with cleaning. Needless to say, I had some seeds from the food that sprouted!!

Hee hee! I deliberately sprout the leftover mouse food from time to time. They love to play in the little sprouts. So far, however, I haven't had it happen spontaneously, lol. Not enough moisture in the bedding, I think. :D

Weird! I had little mushrooms growing in a terrarium of mine; but that was cool because it was a little replica of what I found out in the woods.. yikes.
