    Oh %#$% !!!!
Vet visit for the sick leopard gecko I took in last week resulted in bad news. He had cloacal and stool sample tests done.

The results were Metabolic Bone Disease (already knew that) and Cryptosporidium.

He is on treatment (which probably won't work anyways) and I am using full strength ammonia to clean everything he came in contact with.

This now opens up a whole #%$load of problems. I now have to keep a close eye on all the critters. I am now afraid of what might happen with the other animals I have.

I brought him home instead of euthanizing him but am now second guessing that.

Ooo. That's tough. Crypto is no fun. I'd keep him in a separte room to prevent it from spreading. Good luck!

He is in QT and has been since I picked him up. I just worry anyway.

He needed treatment for MBD. If he stayed at the petstore, it would have progressed even further. Unfortunately I did not know he had other problems until he refused foor and had runny, really smelly feces.
The vet did a cloacal and stool test and came back with crypto. It's basically untreatable with the meds he gave me so I think to avoid him having to die a slow painful death, I will bring him back to be euthanized.
