    Vitamin D
I was reading a post in the "Giant Snakes" forum, and I came across an article that said something along the lines of: snakes obtaining their necessary vitamin D by being outside in the sun. Now, I am just asking around to see if this is true. For me, I have never taken my BP outside, but I read lots of posts of people who take their BP to a park for a quiet "walk". But what I'm just asking is that if it's true. Do BP's really need vitamin D from being outside in the sun, or do they get all their essential nutrients from what they eat?

no they do not. they are nocturnal and spend most of their time in their hide - even when they are out in nature.
