Sand Boa Enclosures
a Male sand boa would do well in a 24' x 24' x 24' enclosure or do ya think he'd feel cramped in there?
I am having some custom enclosures built soon, probably from animal plastic or monstercages, RTB will be in a 8' x 24" x 24", and plan on stacking two 4' x 24" x 24" on top for the balls, then i'd like to also get four 24" x 24" x 24" to stack on top of those for some smaller types, trying to think of what interests me and will fit in that size. (I am going 8' x 24" x 24" for the RTB because I have a baby male green anaconda coming soon and thats the size footprint i plan on for him until I need a bigger enclosure for him, though his will be a more custom build and be 30" tall.)

He'll be fine. Males only get 15 inches or so full grown.

A male sand boa will only need something about 18"x12" full grown (something the size of a 10 gallon tank) A 2'x2' cage like that is really huge actually.

Re: Sand Boa Enclosures
so sand boas really stay that small, how are they with handling are they like or corn and move all the time or like most boas?

Re: Sand Boa Enclosures
Mine are really laid back most of the time. Not nastly at all. They've never struck at me, but I have trouble getting them to eat f/t.

Mine is cool as can be. She has bit me one time but it was my fault. The females get bigger though. They range from 2-3 feet.

My little guy is mellow as can be. He has only bitten me once and well that was my fault, but it didn't hurt at all - it tickled because he was so little. It just looked funny seeing this little earth worm sized snake try to bite my pinky finger.

Typically they are very laid back snakes.. lazy buggers.

Re: Sand Boa Enclosures
My male was pretty handleable, and would never eat F/T. Just be sure there isn't any kind of gap in your caging. Mine squeezed his way out of a tank with a screen lid with 4 metal clips holding it down, and he was full grown. They can push and squeeze through some pretty small spaces. Awesome species though!!

I think he'd totally freaked out and lost, I think you meant " instead of ' :P 24 ft by 24 ft by 24ft, heck, I could live in that without a problem :P
2 ft by 2ft by 2ft sounds a bit big to me.
