    Pastel Boa?
I was wondering how you tell the difference between a pastel boa and a normal. I'm looking into buying a female from a guy for about $90 and he has all the siblings, a pastel litter he calls it. When inquired he said he wasn't sure if the female I asked about was a pastel, but she really is a good looking snake. What do you all think?

I can't say I have a lot of knowledge with boas, but that looks like one gorgeous normal Red tail.

I know, I'm really tempted even if she isn't a pastel. And also, I looked the guy up on BOI and I've seen nothing but good things from him.

Not a pastel...but a really nice normal for which $90 would be fair...

Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to. Female boas aren't cheap and nicely colored ones usually go for around $150...I'll let you all know how it goes and get pictures up if the sale goes well. Thanks!

I've said this before and will say it again. In my eyes, a nice normal boa beats most any morph, but thats just my oppinion. Since pastel isn't a co-dom in boas like in ball pythons, a "pastel sibling" makes no sense to me. Pastel is just selective breeding to produce higher color and cleaner pattern "Normals".
Hope this helps a bit, I would say go for it though. I paid $180 for my "pastel" male boa and with his colors compared to most "common" boas, I would pay that again anyday.
