calling on all rabbit owners!!!

my 5 year old daughter has a dutch rabbit that we resuced almost a year ago from my wife side of the family, i was in the begining not for it(i was and am a dog lover) but i saw her with the bunny and i new we were going to keep it, it's one of the few haired animals my son isnt allergic to. well after this years has gone by i cant believe how much money im spending on food, it's NUTS. I told my wife that theres snake owners that breed mice and rats that make thier own food, i dont see why we can do this for our lil ole bunny. So my question to all you rabbit owners is do you make your own food? and if so what do you use, and how much money is invested it, and how much does it yeild and, just kidding no more ands...lol

Well i have a possible cheaper food but try not to laugh.When my Grandfather and i raised rabbits a guy we sold some to fed them pig food.It had corn and such all ground up and those were some HEALTHY bunnies lol.We had a rabbit recently that ate lab block rat chow.Once again not my start here he was eating it at the person whom we got him from house lol.Rabbits are a constant poo factory AKA in the mouth out the behind!:8:
