Aztec or zig zag and other pattern genes...
Like the aztec and zig zag gene in Cornsnakes, is there one in Ball pythons? Are there any around? What about other patterns like a multipule stripe animal or a motley pattern? The genetic Tiger/reduced/Banded as got me intrested in patterns more and more. Thanks!

It seems that the zig-zag and motley patterns are much more likely to pop up in snake species that have relatively uniform dorsal blotches (corns, RTBs etc.) The BP pattern morphs that we have are much more inconsistant. Look at the spiders and pinstripes. They are both very irregular from one side to the other, just like wild type BPs.

Yeah, I really wish one or 2 would pop up and be genetic! I think if we can get a stripe pattern we could probably get a motley or zig zag here or there?:D

time will tell. you never know. in one maby two maby 20 years something will pop up. that is why i love working with boas and balls. you never know what is around the corner.
