Himid Problems

I thought I finally incorporated the right temperature in my balls tank, until I noticed the low humidity. I have to baby balls and the temp is around 90 on the warm side and between 78-82 on the cool side, while th humidity has drastically went down to 30...Help I dont know what to do...

You have two snakes in one tank?

My advice, would be to go out and buy two inexpensive Sterlite or Iris tubs (like Rubbermaid.) The snakes do need to be seperated, and an added benefit of using tubs is, they retain humidity beautifully; you do need to solder-melt airholes into the sides.
Keeping them together could lead to alot of bad things; attempted breeding too young if male/female.. conflicts if they are males.. stress no matter what.

oh, I have a male and female, and a breeder informed me that they would be ok to house together, only if I want to breed them to seperate them for a couple months before breeding... For Now I dont think I can set up a rubbermaid tank so what is another option for humidity for a glass tank?

Well as far as humidity for a tank here is what you can do.

Mist the enclosure

Switch to a substrate that hold humidity better (Cypress Mulch, Repti-Bark)

Covering the screen top partially

Have an additional water dish above your UTH

Have a humid hide.

Switching to tub

Now as far as housing BP together it is a big NO-NO not sure what breeder told you that but BP should not be housed together as they are solitary animals.

Housing BP together can lead to the following

If one has mites, parasites, RI the other one will.

It causes stress - Stress leads to going off feed.

If one regurgitate you cannot tell which one did.

They can and might fight and this could result to serious injuries.

Breeding does not mean that BP are house together and sometimes separated it is the opposite, they live separately and the male is introduce to the female for 24-48 hours before being placed back in it’s enclosure to rest. Off course it means both are proper weight to breed.

Bottom line 1 Snake = 1 Enclosure and If you cannot afford to house your BP individually then should should try to re-home one of them.

definatley seperate them (!!), and good luck with the glas tank. I used to want all glass tanks for mine, but they are so hard to keep the temps, that i will only use one now.

Sounds like whoever told you you can put them together just wanted to make a sale. It is very stressful for BP's which can lead to RI's and other illness and if they are together they both get sick. It's all around a bad idea. Tubs rock! Tubs in a rack even better! Good luck!
