    New Snake Condo
I am finally finished with my snake cage. My temperatures are perfect. I just have one question about air flow. I have twenty-five 1/2 inch holes drilled in the back of each level, would that be enough airflow?

I have noooo idea, but that looks very nice! Was that a dresser that you converted or did you build from scratch?

You did a great job! ..............as far as the air flow goes, i think maybe a couple of holes on the side would give you that circulation you need :)

It is made out of 3/4 inch ply wood. My dad and I built it with a drill, tablesaw, and jigsaw. It was very easy. It took longer than we expected to build. But that also gave us time to thinkout every little detail.
    Thanks

Looks VERY nice, could have it as a showpiece anywhere in the house :)

How did you stain/seal the wood to help protect against humidity. Is it lined in anyway, or is the surface exposed to where the snake can touch against it?

    Nice work! :)

    LOVE IT!

Also a few holes in the sides will help give more air flow.

    Thanks to all who posted!

I stained everything then applied two coats of water based polyureathane. I also have a sheet of vinyl flooring on the floor of each level that goes up one inch on the sides and back.

I am heating each level with 18" of 11" flexwatt contolled by a ranco thermostat.
