    Looking for African Soft Fur Rats in Iowa/Minnesota!!!
    I am looking for a couple of trios of African soft fur rats in the Iowa and southern Minnesota area. If you have any and can get them to this area, please let me know. I can meet part way etc. Please email me with cost and availability. bhicok@wctatel.net :)

    Well I didn't find any in Iowa/Minnesota, but I did find some in Wisconsin. :) So I will be going and picking them up monday and getting 10 trios for me to use for breeding. :sweeet::sweeet:

    Thats great Bill :) .Looks like everyone is getting into these rats,soon regular rats will be worthless :P

    Well my main reason for getting them is for a couple girls I have that that came from someone as "great eaters". The one female eats one prey item every other week during a couple months in the summer. She is a very light colored interesting girl, but she need to eat regularly and gain some weight.

    Another reason for getting these is they don't ever out grow the size of a good meal for a ball python. Unlike my large rats that have a small window of usefulness and then they are to big to feed. I also have a couple of mice feeders that I would like to convert to these instead.

    I still plan on having mice and regular rats for feeding, but plan to experiment with the soft furs some. ;)

    Once you get those breeding colonies established let me know if you'll have any extras that you'd part with. It's been a heck of a time trying to find them around here, I'd willingly drive down to buy a few off you and see the collection. LMK:rockon:
