a little bit of a dillema...
so, i posted about branches before, and wanted to know...what if they are too big, and you can't bake them? The branch that i have is too large for my oven. It didnt have any leaves on it though, so i dont know how many bugs are living on it. I have not seen any.

    thanks all!!

    also...

    How does Repti Bark work?
Does it block out a lot more heat than Aspen?

For the plants that i am going to put in there, should i just wash them off, or what kind of prep should i use for making them snakey safe? (they are fake plants)

Thanks all i appreciate your help!

For bigger branches, fill your bathtub with VERY hot water and pour a bit of bleach in there and let the branches soak for 30 minutes or so. You can scrub them if you want with a hard bristled brush.

Then, after they've soaked, soak them again for a good couple of hours in plain hot water. When they no longer smell bleachified, stick them outside in the sun or blast them with the hair dryer(if it's still cold and not sunny) until they dry.

You can always go to a craft store and get some spray on sealant so the wood doesn't rot.
