    help me with this
what do i do with my snake when we use the a/c in summer?

Right now im using two heat lamps and an electric heater which is fine for the temps and humidity.

But im obviously not gonna use the heater in summer, so should i get heating pads for under his cage or what?

It will all come down to the ambient temp in your house and most specifically in the room where you keep your BP during the summer.

If your ambient temp is low you will need an additional heat source to provide a warm side between 80-84

Well you have two choices here.1. move snake and enclosure to another room that the a/c does not cool.2.buy another UTH to assist in keeping his temps in the correct areas. Now number 2 is going to cost more money in the long run in my opinion( reason is more equipment equels more electricity used.

very true, but do you think the seasonal change will stress him out.

regardless of seasonal changes you want to keep the temperatures in his cage as consistent as possible. they can sense the seasonal changes but as long as his temps remain correct he will be fine.

so if i have ac on and my room is freezing, but his cage temps are normal that's ok?

I'm prolly gonna go with the room change sounds easier and i dont wanna risk messing up temps.

if it is cold in your room it will be hard to keep the ambient temperature in the tank warm enough. you may just have to adjust your room temp some and get a second heat source for the cool side.
