    wanting to get another
Hello i used to have a bp and i've been wanting another, i have a Female BCI, male crested gecko, M bearded dragon. Im going to the All Ohio Reptile Show in Columbus on March 10 and was wondering if any breeders will be at the show. Im wanting a great feeder i my last was from a child that didn't want him anymore so i took him and i think he was a wc and i don't want anymore problems with a low quality ball again. I really would like a Morph but i don't have the money for one. Thanks Aaron

another way to go is to order one from one of the many trusted breeders on this site. there are lots but the only one i've dealt with is adam. so far he's been MORE than wonderful... sending me pics, assisting me to choose my snake (since i'm in canada and he's in the usa).

if you want quality... then that's the way i'd go!

I remember Robin's advice about shows and it was a winner. Check out the vendors list on that show's website. Do a web search and check the BOI for information on breeders that will be attending. Ask around and check out whether folks are generally happy with the snakes and go with someone with a good reputation for quality snakes, great customer service and good relationships with their clients (8BallPythons/Adam Wysocki will you find for example has a sterling and well deserved reputation).

The Columbus show doesn't have a vendor list, I wish it did. There are a couple people there who have good reps on the BOI and the snakes I have gotten from them in the past are everything and more that they say they are.

Tim from Special K, he is usually up front near the enterance.
Joe Dembinski- I don't know if he is there every month
Carl Aiken- usually somewhere in the back.
Never bought from the Hampers, it's their show though and they are to the right as soon as you walk in the door.

I would stay away from the people with all the 10gallons by the food area- lot of wild caught, never look healthy. If I am not mistaken, that is the Kick brothers.

    Hope that helps!

thanks for everyones replies i just don't know if i really wanna take a chance on getting a snake from a show i would rather pay the extra price and shipping to get quality. I don't know for sure if im going to go or not now. I may email Adam and see if he has any nice normals for a decent price or a het. thanks also recycling goddess can you post some pics of your snake that you bought from adam thanks again

Here's a few shots of a snake we purchased from Adam in 05. This is Malachi, a male 100% het for albino BP at various ages. Adam's a great person to work with and has a well deserved solid reputation for customer service and top quality snakes.

Malachi at a few months old, showing his great hunting skills....

What a lovely male he is! (age about 10 months in this pic)....

Mal at one year plus and around 1,200 grams....he's currently cycling through females and is a lovely healthy big male....

It's great that you are taking your time making the decision where and what to purchase. So many times we see folks rush into buying a BP, skipping this part of the process and then ending up with problems with the snake. Starting out with a healthy snake with a great and consistent feeding response will make your life so much easier. Don't forget to get the snake's environment all set up and tweaked well before the snake arrives. Your scaley buddy will appreciate that. :)

Wow he is a great looking guy, Im not sure if im up to dealing with the problems of a bp again really. I've thought about what problems i had with my past with all the food cost that never got ate and im looking for a steady eater and that stays the size of a bp because corns and kings are just to skinny. I would love to get a female for my crested gecko but the girls cost so much and i would need an adult since he is an adult to breed him.
