    proportinal control of lights?
    Hiya
I have a proportinal thermostat controller for my heat sources.
I will need to add a light to provide additional heat (the flexiwatt isn't enough)

can the lightbulb be run through the proportinal controller?
    (It's a herpstat)

    thank you

Well...they work well on dimmers, so I imagine a proportional t-stat could be used on a bulb. Might seriously decrease the bulb's life, though. Just a guess on my part...hopefully someone who's tried this or knows more how these work will chime in. ;)

I was also thinking that, on blowing bulbs much faster.

You might be better off with a CHE instead. I know those respond a little better to dimmers, tstats, etc...

    ok...I could do that
I was concerned that a CHE might be overkill for my 48"x24"x17" enclosure.
    what do you think?

That's a big enclosure! I think a CHE should be fine.
