    Dang National Guard
so, as i posted before, my boyfriend is leaving for 6 months for AIT (training). He left a few days ago, and a day after he left he called me and went, "they didn't organize things right. I am not able to start taking my classes for another 2-3 months". SO, he is going to be gone for 8-9 months instead of 6.

People could be a little more organized once in a while..especially when it affects everybody else's life.

sorry, just had to vent, it is quite upsetting and frustrating.

it does. it also gives us time to build our relationship though. He is aloud to have his cell phone at AIT, and because we are young, we really need to build a strong friendship. Being away gives us time to endlessly (sp?) discuss anything we want to.

Best wishes in getting through him being gone. I think I would go stir crazy if I had to be away from my hubby for that long!

thanks! i have a ton of support, and am really close with his family. this time around it is not 3 months (as it was for boot camp), so it will be a lot harder, but he also gets access to his cell phone and computer. it wont be tooo bad.

Oh Amy Amy. Welcome to the world of the military. Just as long as their needs are met they really don't tend to care how much they mess with the lives of the enlisted.
Yes, I am a bit bitter due to a current run around with the Navy but all in all it's still the same.
    Wish you luck. :)

As Entropy said...get used to things like this, especially being in the guard. I've had to put up with alot more crap than I care to talk about during my time in.

well....that bites. I hope this is the last mishap/inconvience we will have with the NG, but i doubt it. As my bf always says, you have to hurry up to wait when you are with the Army...

Amy, I guarantee this will not be the last problem you encounter but I do hope everything works out for you two.
