what size cage for baby Boa?
Hi I am thinking about getting a Colombian Boa. I wanted to know what is a good size enclosure for a 26-28 inch Colombian Boa?
Re: what size cage for baby Boa?
I personally would start with a 27-31 qt. tub and get it settled in there the go to a 41 qt tub before a 4' by 2'. If you are going to use aquariums(I recomend not for boas, nothing but problems when I did), A 20 long would be ok for about 3+ months depending on feeding and a few other factors.
Hope this helps a bit
Re: what size cage for baby Boa?
Honestly, for a single boa family, I would get something that he/she will be happy for their entire life in. Switching habitats routinely usually stresses them out a bit. I always tell people to get whatever the boa will live in for it's first enclosure. Why pay two to three times for two to three different sized enclosures. It won't hurt them, plus they'll have playing room. They are very curious creatures and will use whatever room you give them. Good luck!

So are you saying I could get a cage that could house an adult for a baby?
Re: what size cage for baby Boa?
You COULD for sure and with B.c.i. being so stress free, I would say a 4' by 2' would be fine for a 2'+ boa
