    Great sunday morning
I get woken up this morning to my wife telling mt that something stinks. I wake up and OH yea It stunk! All my guys ate so no funky rats left overnight. But it unmistakeable rat FUNK!. The the search begun.

Oh I found it quick :puke: Man any one who has never smelled a regured rat left in a 95 degree encloused tub at 45% RH.. :puke: needs to just once. Funny thing is I didn't even gag it was like ok rub sleep out of eyes, tub change, check the snake throw the rat out and the go eat scrambled egg Sandwitch. :D You got to love snakes to be able to do that.

    Man it was nasty.

What else is worse is thinking the snake ate but in fact the rat drowned in the water bowl. Give it a few days and let me tell you... a bloated, rotting drowned rat does NOT smell any good.

I have a question though Ed - do you know why this particular snake regurged? Was the meal too big? Has he/she ever been tested for internal parasites? I know when Kashmire regurged with me, he had internal parasites. On top of treating him for the parasites, I was also advised to give him two weeks before offering to feed him again to allow the stomach flora re-build. Regurge is very stressful on your snake.

I've talked about food while elbow deep in a deceased(and rotting, but only 4-5 hours dead) dog's chest who had hemorrhaged and had multiple organ failure. Major Yay ;)

Food and what we're having for lunch is always a popular subject while doing some sort of surgery.
