I think I'm going to be playing nurse for a few days

Randy is getting all 4 of his wisdom teeth out tomorrow afternoon.

I was lucky enough to only have one wisdom tooth out so it wasn't that bad but from what the dentist said it sounds like his are going to be hard to get out. The dentist couldn't figure out why his family dentist didn't take them out years ago.

Oh, and I have a job interview tomorrow with a bank before his appointment. I think we'll both be nervous prior to going.

ice packs are a person's best friend after an extraction. (that and ice cream and popsicles) mmm yummy.

I told him he'll be eating pudding, soup, apple sauce and ice cream for the next few days.
It also means I don't have to cook :)

Get him some apple juice or something that has electrolytes in it right after the surgery. It'll help :)

Btw, my bottom wisdom teeth were pretty impacted and I ended up with chipmunk cheeks right afteward...he might have the same problem :P

I guess the two on the bottom are impacted and sideways? if that makes since?

I don't know.. mouth things in general creep me out

Ug... mine need to come out. I know the dentist is practically pulling his hair out each time I say NOOOOOOOOOO. Reading things like this make me more sure I'll just deal with the pain and leave them in.

Yep had my four extracted like that. I had to go under a general in the hospital they were such a mess since I'd wimped out on having them extracted for years.

He needs to avoid having his head lower than his heart, strenuous exercise, that sort of thing. I managed to pop all the stitching on both bottom extractions because I decided I just HAD to hand wash a darned floor the day after surgery (yes I am an idiot on occasion though that time I think it was the pain meds LOL). Also no hot or cold foods or gawd help him anything crunchy until he's fully healed.
