    Question?
What is an average size for a june hatchling. She's about 8 months, obviously, and she is almost 1100 grams. I was just wondering how she compares to other balls. Thanks!:sunny:

Wow! I have a male June hatchling who's nowhere near that size! 2 a week is a lot. I guess if she's functioning alright, there's no problem with it. :confuzd:

as long as it is the right sized, there is nothing wrong with feeding 2 mice.

    Re: Question?
Who did you get this one ball from? and are you sure it is a ball python...not another huge breed?

lets do some quick math here...

    June of 06 hatchling...~ 7 months.

lets just say a small rat per week (yeah i know baby balls aren't going to be on small rats...) at 45 grams a peice.

45 grams x 4 (1 month) is equal to 180 grams in rats, x 7 (number of months it has been alive) is equal to 1260 grams.

Ok so there's a few options here...
    1) It's an 05 yearling, not an 06 hatchling
    2) You're power feeding
    3) It's not a ball python (maybe a burm?)
    4) That snake has never pooped a day in it's life

IMO..1100 grams for a 7 month old baby ball is extreme.

Take a picture of her next to a quarter or something that shows her size. I just want to see how big she is. ;)
