Actually a bit of the live action movie was filmed on the ship my husband is on. I got sent pictures of him next to the pieces of various transformers and of the director.

As for the transformers I was a fan of the original ones waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the early 80's.

I'm a robots in disgiuse fan. I use to watch Beast wars but never got into it as much as the original. My favorite was the Decepticon Soundwave who turned into a cassette player. Unfortunetly he's not in the movie since cassette players are pretty much extinct and the producers thought a giant robot changing into such a small device was ridiculous. Oh well i think it'll still be cool.

my favs from the transformers were: Tarantulas, Scorponok, Quickstrike(might name a "quick striking" snake that in the future"),Inferno, and transmetal Megatron.

I loved transformers as a kid (the 80's version). I did watch a bit of beastwars later on though. It was okay, but the original version was a lot better.
I'm planning on seeing the movie, but a few things are different, so we'll see how it goes. A lot of the voices will be different for some of the transformers. It would be great if they were able to use the same voice actors as were used in the original series, but some of them have died.

You wouldn't believe how much some of those original transformers are worth now.

I love the orginal series and figures. (Shockwave was awesome).

I also loved the Transformers Cartoon Movie from the 80s, but it was a little tramatic when Optimus Prime Died.

Trailers.....from the original and the new movie can be viewed here. Gotta love the 80s song "The Touch".

New Transformers are like Van Halen with Sammy. I still have a ton of my old Transformers toys. Voltron too kicked ass!
