your(purple) guardian angel.....

After Cadbury shed out all his blue, I couldn't decide what color was next. Well, that was decided when I was at the mall during Christmas shopping hell. I found at the Build a Bear store a cute pair of purple sparkly angel wings...in his size.

for some reason, whenever i color him, the fur on his feet bottom gets several shades darker than the rest of his hair. Even more curious, this time his undercoat soaked up more color than his overcoat. Overall, hew looks lavender,but if you blow on his fur, the hair underneath is the actual color I was hoping for, which is muck darker. Some on his back end is even a blue-violet color.

He was thouroughly embarassed. He didn't mind the blue so much, but he thinks purple is definately NOT a guy's color. :giggle:

He got tired of that whole ordeal really quick, and when the wings came off, he wanted nothing more than a snooze in my lap.

I always use ingestable human safe food colors and juices. For the purple I used grape Kool-aid. I got the idea from a lady who does the same thing to her poodles. She uses fruit punch and food dyes. Anything that we can use to color our food with is ok to use on bunny's fur.

:giggle: He is the sweetest bunny. He puts up with whatever "torture" I give him. I got him from a lady I met in my local pet store. Me and my boyfriend were in line, discussing how we were looking for a bunny for his daughter, as she liked my lionhead bunnies and wanted a bunny of her own. This lady suddenly turns around, and says "I have a bunny!! I would love for a little girl to have him!" Apparently someone abandoned him to the wild, and she found him in the parking lot. Fostered him for a year, and let him have run of her house. Just the sweetest snuggler you could ever want. well, after my boyfreind's daughter had him for only two weeks, her mother complained (she has custody) she wanted to be rid of him, because he was mean and scratched, and probaly someone had abused him (WTF??!!!) so he wouldn't make a good pet for the daughter. Pssshht. I told her I would gladly taKe him back. I swear. some people. He is the most well behaved, lovable, litter trained rabbit of all 5 of my rabbits. i don't know how any body could think otherwise.

I can't imagine not having bunnies in my life now, they're so sweet and full of personality! They're sure not for everyone, but man... they're for us! :D I dunno as my trio would let us do the wing thing though, Cadbury is one tolerant bun! Still... I'm always tempted by the tiny dog Harley Davidson biker cap at PetSmart... that would look SO cute on one of our boys..

OMG Sheree! Tell me about it! My b/f is originally from Ohio, and when we visited his mother, I just HAD to get that little Ohio state dog tee for one of my little lionhead bunnies, Cotton to show her. She was elated! And it fit him perfectly! Hmmmm....I bet thre's something to be had in making bunny "clothes"......
