I got my first BP yesterday and put him in to his new cage. He stayed in the cool hide (79-80 degrees...i'm having problems getting it between 80-84, any suggestions would be great), but after last nite, he has gone in to his warm hide (91-92 degrees) and has not come out. Can staying in the warm hide too long damage the snake at all or is he just staying where he wants to be? I know they all act differently, I'm just looking for some of your thoughts.

If your hides are identical (they'll choose security over thermoregulating), then I wouldn't worry too much about it. They're all individuals, and just like people, some like it warm, some like it cool. He's probably moving at night when you're sleeping.

You can put newspaper or a towel over the cooler area to bump up the heat a lil. Or even an LP works well to haha. So get out a copy of "Frampton Comes Alive" and warm up the cool side ;)
