how much do 2200 gram 6-7 year female balls go for?

depends on her condition. if she's in great condition, then i'd say a couple hundred, maybe 300-350...possibly more considering it is breeding season.

but don't forget that not all good deals end up being good deals. sometimes, ya get what ya pay for.

Theres alot of big import girls out there right now, that are selling for about $25.00-$45.00 each. but I feel that is to much money for them considering all the trouble you will have with an import.


Research your purchase and try and get a captive bred ball python. it will cost you more to buy, but would be cheaper in the long run. Good Luck :)

Yea $25 may seem cheap but if you have vet bills for parasites or RI, it will add up to more than just buying a healthy CB.

where can you find wild caught balls for $25? large females like that

Ask your local rescue or herp vet to keep you abreast of when people are wanting to get rid of their snakes. These are often the people that get the heads - up first. When they get breeding size people that aren't really want to keep a bigger ball will try to sale them and even give them away. I just got 4 females rangeing from 2750 grams to 1250 grams for 700.00 plus the rack ans setup. It takes alot of foot work but they are out there. My only warning is be picky and know what to look for in an unhealthy animal. You don't want to pay for sick or injured animals.Tell the rescue/Vet what you are wanting them for. If they know the animals going to be cared for and really looked after by a person that knows how they will bend over backwards to help you get what you want, in the intrest of the animal.

Reptile shows, expos, etc...

You couldn't pay me $25 to take an adult WC female. They RARELY breed in captivity, even under the care of highly experienced professional breeders.

i always wondering about those reptile shows.. would they be around anywhere i live? and what are they exactly?

Good point, for some reason a large wild caught female. even after she has been in captivity for years just will not become a breeder. theres so many other things to consider when buying a cheap snake. Veterinarian expenses are big. :)
