    PetCo Adventure
So i went to petco today. They had some intresting stuff, i wasnt impressed with anything though. Now, i could be wrong, but it says that BPs have to be at 70-82 degrees. I thought it was more like 82 on the cooler and 90 on the warmer.

they had 2 nice BPs, the others were meh, and one of them was so sad and skinny. I just wanted to adopt it so badly. unfortunatley, i dont have 80$ to spend on another BP right now.

They had an RTB too. Actually really pretty colors. I liked him/her a lot. I definatley wouldnt go to Petco to get a Herp though.

But what i did get from PetCo was a new rat cage.

they seam to be liking the new wire cage instead of the tank

Heh. I was in PetCo earlier this week (I always seem to stop in to look if I happen across one) and on the BP tank it said "two or more animals of the same size may be kept in the same enclosure if taken out seperately to be fed"!

I was really surprised. It was on the little card on the tank, the one that lists the temperature and enclosure requirements. I am -so very glad- I decided to do my research before bringing a BP home...

that wouldn't be adopting that's buying

yes, it sucks that animals are kept in crappy conditions and in not very good health but buy buying a sick animal it tells the pet store it's ok to keep them that way. They'll bring in another sick baby and keep repeating the process.

Tell them their skinny snake is in a terrible state and should not be on display, but housed alone and fed regularly...

Well even though it wasn't the best, atleast they had a hide... You could get a better price on a healthier baby normal from a breeder.

Thanks for sharing the pictures though!:)

If I saw something that bothered me or concerned me for the health of an animal, I would definately bring it to their attention that it is at least noticeable by the public. I do it whenever I see it in a shop I frequent, and they will always take off display anything that is not in selling condition until it has healed etc.

I wanted to say something, but the lady that was working looked like a teenager that is trying to get some quick cash. I'm sure she would have either snapped back or blown it off.

I know that i would have to buy it, but i would have to treat it like a rescue probably (it was so pathetic looking), hence the reason i said adopting. Yeah. If i knew they would stop selling the repltiles if they sold all the BPs, i would just get them all, but thats not the case.....unfortunatley.
