It's good to hear that you keep up with his shedding results. Nice caging you got there and typical BP behavior is being represented in the photos. Good luck with your BP :)

That type caging is more designed for arboreal species. Ball pythons just can't utilize all that height. It also makes it difficult to have two hides and the proper gradient.

Congrats on the sheds though. Looks like he's growing well.

Check out the bp caresheet on this same website to learn more about ideal husbandry requirements for ball pythons.

The tank is not bad even if not ideal for bps, but it's just going to be a pain in the back to keep humidity in the right range. Also try getting a second hide.

yea, my parents didnt know much bout snakes, they just saw that it was big. im thinking bout installing a second level inside it. higher up for a cooler hide. what do guys think? ill keep you posted if i decide to do it too.

I wouldn't even bother with the second level, he may not use it and if he does then there is a chance he'll fall off and sustain an injury.

and yes , i LOVE MGS. i got ps3 just for MGS4 guns of the patriots. cant wait for it!

whys that? before this, he was in a 10 gallon. never once have i had a feeding problem or health problem yet. he has an undertank heater in there, along with normal temps and humidity. he is fed every 2 weeks. what could possibly go wrong?

As long as your temps are good on the warm and cool side and you are able to keep your humidity up he should be fine, although I think he will grow out of that enclosure quickly. Add another hide on the cool side of the tank and cover the screen top as needed to adjust humidity. You also may want to consider feeding him every week as he is still growing.
