the "negative rep" game

i have found that when posting a point someone feels that it is ok to give neg rep. it has also come to my attention that many are abusing the privelidge and randomly giving neg rep. is it possible to just take away reputation points on this site? thanks:)

I agree i don't think there should be rep.

ya i belong to many forums and none have rep:)

I like the rep tool, personally.

i pesonnaly wouldnt care about them. i think on a website that has some pretty strong opinoins that there proably shouldnt be neg points given. but if people trash other people and just say what they want then maybe there should be.. who knows, i dont know, you know what just forget i said anything...lol

If you feel there is an abuse of the rep system please feel free to bring it to the attention of a mod or admin and it will be investigated.

Yes, sometimes neg rep is given out. No one will agree with you 100% of the time. Fortunately, most of the time the rep system is used in a productive way.

I personally like the rep system. If you get a neg rep, get over it, its not worth crying over, if you get a pos rep then good for you. I find nothing wrong with it.:2cent:

well ive gotten 3 random neg reps from joepythons calling me a loser and jasballs cursing at me

As Christie said - if you feel they are unwarranted, PM a mod or admin and we'll take a look at the neg hits and evaluate whether they should be removed.

OK, just a question - what makes you think that Joe has hit you three times? You have to give rep to about 20 people I believe, before you can come back and hit someone again (either pos or neg). That takes a bit of time.
