    BCI home makeover
I got a bug today, to redesign my BCI cage. Since I can get Eco-Earth from my friend at a great price, I decided to go with it. The cage is roughly 4' by 2.5', and I used two bricks of EE. Since my BPs are in a rack, I decided Apache's cage can be our "display cage"; this coupled with the fact that Apache really never uses any hidespots regardless of the temps being right, and does enjoy digging, it is a perfect situation. The cage, we bought years ago, used for $50 from a pet store; it had a divider in the middle but I removed that. I plan on getting some nice clear glass doors made; the originals were, but had big holes in them; now there are plexi doors that are too scratched up.. can'twait to get them replaced! I guess they had water/land frogs in it or something..

This hidespot/cave was made by be out of a basic car-oil-change tub from Auto Zone!

The white thing in the top, was a lightbulb fixture; I cut the cords and do not use it, and it is harmless to the snake.

Very nice. B.c.i. make great display snakes mainly because they don't need hides once they are settled in. He will probably make a great display animal. I'm hoping to have some sort of display eventually. Have you considered getting him a boaphile someday?

    Thanks!
PCCB, I think that when he does eventually outgrow this, we will make him a custom enc, out of melamine and glass. I would love to make one that fits into a corner; it'd have nice floor spce that way too!
Thanks Sheree; I thought when he got larger he would lose cuteness and just become a normal adult boa, but he has gotten cuter I think!

I agree. They always do. Maybe its the personality they develop? Most Boas seem to be cuter and cuter as they get older
