    Himalayan X Himalayan = Siamese
This was a Himi X Himi breeding and I got some very nice dark siamese rats in the litter. Check it out. I know there was some doubt if himi's actually produce real siamese and it's true they do.

It's like the difference between a pastel and a super pastel. Himalayans have 1 gene for Siamese, and true Siamese have 2 Siamese genes. At least, that's how I've always understood it! As far as looks, Siamese have much darker points and color than Himalayans. My Himalayans just have a little smudge on their noses and bit of beige around their butts. Watching them mature is interesting- they usually start out looking like albinos, with maybe a little light brown splotch somewhere, then get their points as they get older, and the other splotches disappear. :D Those babies are adorable, btw! Awww...

then the one i have must be a siamese . he has very dark nose and butt . he also started out with almost white at the head and fading into a light tan at the back end . as he got bigger his coloring changed from the fade to just a dark nose and butt with everything inbetween almost white . heres a pic of him when he was a youngun

thanks larry . he still has a little while till he will be breeding as he and his future harem need to grow a bit more . i'm putting him with a pink eyed white dumbo , a champaigne dumbo and a champaigne rex . hoping to get some cool babies from them . his mother was a champaigne dumbo and his father was a siamese . he has a sibling that my boss beat me to that came out a dumbo rex himi so there is lots of possibilities in there .

Rex Dumbo Himi you don't say. I've been trying for about the last 12-16 months to produce a Himi Super Rex Dumbo and I just got 4 in a litter born 2 days ago! I've never seen nor heard of anybody producing them but I'm sure they're out there. I'll post some pics when they get older. Good luck with yours
