    Argh! Abbath wont eat.
I got his temps perfect. His humidity perfect. He's got 2 hides and crumpled up newspaper in with him. He ate for me 3 weeks ago, and I offered him a live rat pup and no take. I got him another rat pup this week and nothing. I even offered him an adult mouse f/t and tangled it 4 inches from his face and he just slithers away. My other 2 are eating like there's no tomorrow. Any advice would be helpful. :)

**not an expert by any means------but i would weigh the little guy-----i wouldn't touch, or offer him food for another 2weeks, only go in the tank or tub to change water, and spot clean---leave him be-----offer the smallest prey item you can, in reason of course----after the 2weeks, and see what happens---if he doesn't eat---check his weight---if he hasn't lost any wieght do this all over----if he has---you might try scenting or braining the prey item---but force feeding should be the last ----dead last thing to be done!!

Yeah I'm gonna get a scale tomorrow. I've also not been handling him like ya said. I figured the least amount of stress, the better my chances he'll eat.

Well I weighed Abbath and when I got him, he was 1200 grams. He's 1200 now but after I got him he did deficated and has eaten. So I'm gonna weigh him weekly and keep up on any weight loss.

UPDATE: I checked on Mr. Abbath this morning, and no sign of a rat pup in his tub :D Oh yes what a relief! A parent always worries when his child won't eat!

I'm so used to my snakes eating like monsters. My other 2 have never refused a meal and my granite python he's always willing for a rodent. :)
