Re: Texas State Law Question
It all depends on where you live. Different parts of Houston have different laws. I think you can call your local Humane Society to find out.
Re: Texas State Law Question
Not sure about this, but I highly doubt 3 is the limit. I think it has more to do with how many you are capable of taking care of properly.
Re: Texas State Law Question
Thank you both for the response! I think I'll call the Humane Society tomorrow.:)

You know, that was my take on the subject also... Then one of my co-workers mentioned the whole "Law/City Ordinance thing". I figure, if I can feed them, give them love, a clean home, and proper veterinary care; then who's counting?
Re: Texas State Law Question
It is because certain areas are worried about noise, and cleanliness. Normally it is a country thing too.

:giggle: I see your point.
Re: Texas State Law Question
Call your Village or city. Most have ordinances that cover that. Also realize that they usually dont enforce these type of rules unless there are complaints....Sorry, I am an Code Enforcement officer and deal with this in Illinois alot.

Where I'm at, the local county animal shelter will not let you adopt more animals if you have already reached the maximum limit. It's something to keep in mind.
The limit here is 4 animals (total amount of cats and/or dogs) per household if within the city limits.
