More Natural

I want to make Zim's tank more natural looking, especially if this is to be his permanent home. (in case I don't get the rack)

Right now he lives in a 20g long tank with two natural looking hides.

a water bowl that is just a regular ceramic dish.

The substrate is newspaper, and while it is easy to clean, I wouldn't mind putting in a bit more effort during cleaning time to make the cage look a little nicer.

Any suggestions on making the cage look more natural, like the corn snakes natural habitat, including plants and substrate?

a corn's natural habitat is in a tub on newspaper with 2 plastic bowls with holes cut in them, you are doing great!:D

okay, moving on. i like the look of those hides, how big of an enclosure will it be in? i know a lot of people use that plastic vines and hang them and i saw some pics a few days ago of someone who used foam and cardboard to make a fake rock wall that looked real good. good luck

He's in a 20g, and according to many people on here and in petstores, thats a good size for him. I just want to make the tank to be nicer to look at. I'm all for giving him the stuff he needs, but I just want it to look nicer.

There's a book out there called "The Art of Keeping Snakes" that approaches snake keeping differently than most of us with more 'utilitarian' type setups.

I've flipped through it more than a few times. It goes over vivarium design in depth. Nice read, but not something that's for me.
